Daily Calorie Needs CalIn addition to their assistance in general web site development and maintenance, PHP, ASP, JSP, JHTML, Perl, and JavaScript can be used to create some interesting web-based applications. While experimenting with these technologies, we've put together some tools that may be of interest to other webmasters and developers.
Obviously some tools lend themselves better to either the client or server side, but we've attempted to port them to all six technologies where possible for the sake of flexibility. Some projects are still undergoing development, but previews are still available. Either way, we hope that they may serve as bits of larger applications that you might create, or simply as instructive examples. All scripts are, or will be, free under the GPL, so enjoy.
culator (ASP Version) is multi-platform compatible. Given your gender, age, weight, height, and the activity level, this script helps you figure out how many calories you should be consuming to maintain your weight. This is based on the health advice content from RDHealth, and thus use this tool at your own risk. This tool is also available in a PHP and JSP version. |
